10 Ways to Help the Planet Earth Day Edition

 With Earth Day this week lets talk about what we can do for our planet.

1. Use a reusable water bottle and coffee cup. Keep your own coffee mug at work to use too.
2. Remember to bring your own bags to the stores. You can also use those bags to bring items to work or the gym!
3. Use reusable makeup wipes. I love my reusable makeup rounds I have a jar full of them and I even have some silky ones that feel so nice on my face. When they are dirty throw them in the wash and start all over again.
4. Bring your own lunch to work, not only will this help save the planet but it will help save the money too. 
5. 
   Use reusable containers. I'm not going to tell you which container is better, that is your choice, but choose a kind you like and use them!
6. Pack your own straw. We are coming into iced coffee season and although Starbucks does use sustainable straws, your own reusable straws will be even better. 
7. Use both sides of the paper! Whether you are printing double sided or coloring use both sides. This will save money, ink, and trees. 
8. Shop locally. I know amazon is convenient and was really easy to use in lockdown times, but it is time to shop local. 
9. De-influence yourself. There are plenty of people online that are telling that you need this product, (last one I saw was the Stanley mugs). But think to yourself do you already have a perfectly good mug? If yes, then save the money save the planet and de-influence yourself from buying that product. 
10. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse

• Reduce your waste buy,
  only buying what you need.
• Reuse what you already have.
• Recycle what can no longer be used safely.
• Refuse the straws at the coffee shop.

This list is long and maybe even hard to accomplish. I cannot accomplish all of these in one day or even in one week. But start small. Pick one you can do because our planet needs us to try to accomplish at least one.
