 Ten Hangover Cures

  1. Number one cure for a hangover is to drink fluids. You get to choose if you want water or gatorade but start hydrating.
    • Coconut Water is extremely hydrating.
  2. Did you forget to eat while you were drinking last night? Some hangovers are caused by your brain working without fuel. Try eating some carbohydrates. Your best option would be some toast and some juice. Eat slow if you are feeling nausea.

  3. Take a pain reliever. But avoid Tylenol! Aspirin and Ibuprofen are going to be your friend. Take one of these to help relieve the headache and other body aches. But don't take Tylenol as that will react with the alcohol and could cause liver damage. 
  4. Find yourself some Dunkins! Although there is no proven fact that caffeine will cure a hangover but the caffeine will help with the grogginess.
    • Try some ginger tea for the nausea
  5. Find yourself some B Vitamin and Zinc Foods. The consumption of foods containing B vitamins and zinc have shown to reduce the severity of a hangover. 
  6. Take some Milk Thistle. Milk Thistle is a liver detox. Since alcohol is considered a toxin in the body Milk Thistle can help remove toxins and cure the hangover.
  7. Take a shower. Who really wants to be active when your hungover but taking a shower can make you feel ten times better! 
  8. Try a Workout. Now isn't the time to break and records but a light workout might be just what your body needs to start sweating out those toxins. 
  9. Find some Fermented Foods. These include miso soup and sauerkraut and can help bring good bacteria back into your body. This will help balance out the bad stuff and soothe that hangover. 
  10. Finally get Some Sleep. Be sure to eat something and drink some fluids but afterwards go take a morning nap. You will wake up feeling so much better.
